DISCIPLINES AND SUBJECTS IN SOCIO-CULTURAL PERSPECTIVES
held on 23/03/2021 from 1.30 to 2.30 P.M. taken by Vidhya Sagar Women's College Of Education faculty MRS.SUMATHI conducted through google meet.In this session we learn about branches of science,physical science,chemistry,earth science,linguistices,linguistics as interdisciplinary,concept of knowledge,FIRM knowledge,and its domains,objective knowledge,subjective knowledge,redefinitions of school subjects from socio-cultural perspectives,school subject and social justice etc. I learnt social cultural and student,teacher relationship in the classroom.
UNIT-3 SELECTION CONTENT
held on 25/03/2021 from 11.30 to 12.30 P.M taken by Vidhya Sagar Women's College Of Education faculty MRS.SUMATHI conducted through google meet. In this session we learn about aim for selecting content,selsction of subject matter or content of the curriculum,reason for inclusion or exclusion of a subject in school curriculum,providing subject based knowledge,content knowledge,pedagogical content knowledge,debate session etc.from this unit the school subjects are allowed for students intejjectual growth.The school subject is the way for the student to enhance their social awarness.The students develop their self evaluation by conducting some debate through the subject matter.
UNIT-4 LEARNER ORIENTED CURRICULUM
held on 01/04/2021 from 10.00 to 11.00 A.M. taken by Vidhya Sagar Women's College Of Education faculty MRS.SUMATHI conducted through google meet. In this session we learn about subject oriented centred approach,learner centred approach,social problem approach,curriculum as a discipline,meaning of academic discipline,typology of discipline,relationship between academic and school subject,discipline oriented curriculum,subject area design,discipline design,correlation design etc.from this unit we bring out an effective learning situation.
